Super cute volume! (^o^) But amid the fluff it tackled a few more serious points too。Mogumo and Tetsu are pondering how to tell about them to people, or should they tell at all。 Tetsu has friends who he'd like to introduce Mogumo to and tell about his work and such。 Mogumo fears they will hurt Tetsu because of him。They also talk about it with Suzu and his boyfriend (yes, he is real!)。 Oh dear, how cute Suzu and Haruto were。 <3 They had a bit different look on the matter but very understandable o Super cute volume! that cliffhanger。。。rip

I just love how this series explores different identities and especially how accepting Tetsu’s friends were of learning about him and Mogumo。Also, I was very relieved at seeing how the issue with Koto-chan’s codependency towards Mogumo, was handled。 Now to simply worry about the next volume considering the new person that was shown in the cliffhanger。

This series is still ridiculously cute and a really good look at people thrown together by outside society assuming their gender-non-conformity must all be the same。 I really liked seeing a Japanese pride event, and seeing a character grapple with coming to terms with their sexuality and the fact that sexuality and gender presentation aren't always linked。 This is wholesome and fun and I really recommend it for anyone who wants a good slice-of-life-with-queer-kids series。 This series is still ridiculously cute and a really good look at people thrown together by outside society assuming their gender-non-conformity must all be the same。 I really liked seeing a Japanese pride event, and seeing a character grapple with coming to terms with their sexuality and the fact that sexuality and gender presentation aren't always linked。 This is wholesome and fun and I really recommend it for anyone who wants a good slice-of-life-with-queer-kids series。 。。。more

'Love Me For Who I Am' continues to be a cute and informative manga about a non-binary high schooler, their supportive boyfriend, and the gradually growing circle of friends they've found at an unconventional cafe。 I really enjoyed this volume; they gradually confronted some of their worries, realized that they can come out to a few trusted people at a time, and reached out to a childhood friend to help them with their own confusions and worries。 If you're looking for manga about gender issues, 'Love Me For Who I Am' continues to be a cute and informative manga about a non-binary high schooler, their supportive boyfriend, and the gradually growing circle of friends they've found at an unconventional cafe。 I really enjoyed this volume; they gradually confronted some of their worries, realized that they can come out to a few trusted people at a time, and reached out to a childhood friend to help them with their own confusions and worries。 If you're looking for manga about gender issues, especially for newly-questioning or curious people, this is turning out to be a good one。 And it's also just a cute budding romance to follow, too! 。。。more

Aaaaaaah!!! I love this manga so much!!! It's just so cute and sweet!! And yet it also can have some more difficult, serious moments。 But, most of the time it's just super sweet and cute!! Mogumo and Tetsu have a very solid relationship, but it’s been developed over summer vacation。 With school back in session it’s going to shine a much brighter light on their love and there’s still poor Kotone’s stark refusal to deal with her sexual orientation。。。This book is floor to ceiling with romance with nary a traditional heteronormative pairing in sight and it is all the better for it。 It explores at least three different varieties of non-traditional relationship and they’re all really cu Mogumo and Tetsu have a very solid relationship, but it’s been developed over summer vacation。 With school back in session it’s going to shine a much brighter light on their love and there’s still poor Kotone’s stark refusal to deal with her sexual orientation。。。This book is floor to ceiling with romance with nary a traditional heteronormative pairing in sight and it is all the better for it。 It explores at least three different varieties of non-traditional relationship and they’re all really cute。 This book manages to be very feel-good more often than not。Mogumo and Tetsu develop a lot and share one particularly adorable moment that’s been well earned。 I do think this book’s incredible ‘it will all work out’ attitude is both a strength and a weakness。 I mean, it’s not like I want to see these characters suffer a bunch。。。 we have the real world to be harsh and cruel。However, I feel like Tetsu’s introduction of Mogumo as his partner goes a lot more smoothly than it would in reality, well, either that or Japan has the most understanding high school students on Earth。 It’s nice, but it doesn’t necessarily feel earned - also Tetsu kind of takes the reins on this from Mogumo (and they have real issues with it) yet gets proven right, which I don’t know is the best message ever。 It’s a tough call。Then again, Mogumo uses that as an impetus to push Kotone along her own path。 It’s an interesting section and definitely another instance of tough love that works out, but at least feels far more believably fraught than the easy solution our leads find at school。 This section in particular feels like the series at its strongest - dealing with issues, addressing real problems, finding the hope that exists for these characters。So we’ve got pride events, double dates, all sorts of fun stuff。 I don’t think the study session that starts the book leads with the best foot forward, but it has some okay goofing around。 I guess I don’t really read this book for its silly moments, though they provide a respite from the serious stuff。4 stars。 Not quite as impactful as the first two; I felt some of the storytelling was a little, well, easy for the topics at hand。 Then again, we end with the introduction of a character whose cruel pronoun use implies a rocky ride next time out, so I doubt the series is losing its bite。 。。。more

The manga is becoming less cute slice of life and more focused on LGBT stuff, which is great。 Characters are beginning to accept themselves and really grow。 The volume was very enjoyable! Not much I can say but great issue!

This continues to be an adorable and heartwarming series that doesn't shy away from important discussions about sexuality。 And is it just me, or does the series get cuter with each volume? I damn near died from all the adorable facial expressions and character designs! What I like most about this series is that it hits a nice balance between showing the very real issues people in the LBGT+ community go through without being dark and grim about it。 Yes, there are countless people who lose their job, get kicked out of their homes, or are harassed and abused by others, but that doesn't mean every story is like that。 And why it's possible that Testu's friends' reactions to Mogumo's sexuality and their relationship with Tetsu isn't the most realistic, it's not incorrect。 There are people who aren't biased against the LGBT+ community and are more than willing to get to know them。 I think it's fine to have a series that shows a more positive angle to stories like this so that everyone, especially those in said community, can see that people are just as capable of being kind as their are of being cruel。While Kotone still bothers me, I have to say her resolution was handled really well。 It was nice seeing her finally reach out and talk to other people rather than reject anyone accept Mogumo。 I also loved the LGBT+ festival and natural its inclusion in the story was。 Speaking of the festival, something else I really like about this series is how it delivers information regarding the LGBT+ community。 It doesn't feel out of place, forced, or dumbed down, rather it feels like it's being delivered by someone in casual conversation。 It's refreshing to see a series dole out information without sounding robotic or unnatural。This was a great volume that I devoured way too quickly, but enjoyed every panel and every page。 I can't wait for volume 4, the drama's going to hit new heights for sure! 。。。more

It’s really fun seeing this continue! We get to see some of Suzu’s life, meeting his boyfriend, as well as delve further into LGBT culture, Kotone’s emotions, and Tetsu and Mogumo figuring out dating。 This series is EXTREMELY fantastic, and I can’t wait for more。
